Grading FSC Recycled Teak
East Teak stocks only the best - Recycled Prime Grade teak. The following grading features define "Prime" and "Character" grades of FSC Recycled Teak.
Recycled Prime Grade
One face & one edge of boards within specification will be free from defects but are permitted features of:
- Live knots of any size and unlimited color variation
- Wide & Longs may also have splits up to 2mm wide – max length 10% board
- One to three plugged nail holes up to 1 inch diameter
Recycled Character Grade
Reverse face & edge may have the following permitted features:
- Live knots of any size and unlimited color variation
- Splits up to 3mm wide – max length 25% board
- One to three plugged nail holes up to 1 inch diameter
